What a great doctor! Dr. Chang is very professional and knowledgeable. He is caring and always ensures that you understand what’s going on. He explains the pros and cons of each situation helping to make sure that you make the best choice for you based on his diagnosis and recommendations. Would NOT hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I absolutely trust Dr. Chang with my vision care.

Staffs and Dr.Chang were excellent. I really appreciate them. They were very kind, nice and helpful. Doctor speaks in Korean fluently. I like their front desk they were greeting with smiles and well caring and their medical assistances were really courteous. The doctor was very kind to explain how my eyes are. I would love to have ‘Eye Doctors Hawaii’ as my eye doctor.

Dr Chang and his staff were very helpful towards me and my daughter. A few months ago my 6yr daughter had something lodged into her eye which we could not remove. It was scratching her eye and becoming very irritated. Doctor Chang saw her immediately (after hours) and was very helpful in removing it. He also gave her some drops which helped heal her eyes. Thank you Dr Chang, I just wanted you to know our family appreciates your service.

Dr. Chang and the staff at Eye Doctors of Hawaii are wonderful. They are caring, responsive, and very kind and encouraging. Dr. Chang is very thorough in appointments, answers questions directly and honestly, and makes me feel like I am in the very best care during a really scary situation with my eyesight. They are all easy to communicate and schedule with and just all around provide great care and an extra dose of aloha.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chang for 4 years. Mainly routine eye examinations and other eye health matters. Dr. Chang and staff are the most professional medical organization I have had experience with.....please know I am a senior citizen so have had my share of medical attention.
I had a recent accident involving a serious eye injury which required removal of an embedded foreign object. Obviously I had no reservation and entered as an emergency patient. Dr. Chang interrupted his schedule and saw me immediately. I owe my full recovery to his talent and true sense of caring.
It is comforting to be a patient of Dr. Chang......highly, highly recommended!

I am a physician who has been wearing glasses for 40 years. Dr. Chang performed lens replacement surgery on me and now I see like I'm in my 20's. After the surgery I can see perfectly well WITHOUT GLASSES. Dr, Chang is extremely professional and was a joy to work with. I give him my highest recommendation. Thank you Dr. Chang for restoring my vision to 20/20.

Great place for your eye needs. My wife was complaining that she feels like something is scratching her eye. We went to Dr. Chang and he found out what the problem is right away and was able to take care of it. We are happy and satisfied with Dr. Chang. I would definitely recommend.

This guy Dr.Chang is a miracle worker. I can see with both eyes with no need for contacts or glasses..He does not give you any false expectations. Just miraculous results.

Great doctor! I suffered with severe eyes dryness for several years. I went to several doctors and none made the correct diagnosis. When I went to doctor Chang he took time to listen to me, he made the correct diagnosis and prescribed me the correct medication. I improved significantly and now I am pain free. Dr. Chang positively changed my life.

They have enough equipment to diagnosis well and are good at triage. The day after my first visit at 8:00 AM i was operated on. I imagine the doc had to get up earlier than planned to do it. Doing what needs to be done is a great thing. I do wish I had clearly been told to have a little caffeine and alcohol prior to the laser op to make me as relaxed as possible. And, I really should have been given two bottles of eye-drops as I mentioned I was almost surely going to move to the Big Island. But, that is small stuff. (5 star for the Hawaiian islands but might be 4 star vs the top clinic in Miami).

Dr. Kenneth Chang, founder and director of Eye Doctors Hawaii, is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in advanced cataract surgery and providing diagnostic expertise and medical management for all visual complaints. He has a referral network with other highly-trained ophthalmologists in the state. He has additional sub-specialty fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology, which is the field of visual disorders related to the brain.

Raised in Kaneohe, Dr. Chang attended UC Berkeley for college and returned to the University of Hawaii for medical school. After his residency at Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine, he went to Harvard for his fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology. He stayed on faculty at Harvard Medical School for seven years teaching microsurgery techniques, and authored several publications. A dedicated learner, he studied public health at Johns Hopkins and healthcare finance at Wharton.
