The staff here were very friendly, and the doctor was able to give me a diagnosis on my first visit. I've gone to multiple optometrist who did not have a clue as to what was going on with my eyes. This doctor accepts Tricare referrals so bonus for military members. Will definitely be back for future eye care.

Upon Moving to Hawaii I was looking for a new doctor to follow my Glaucoma and came across Eye Doctors Hawaii. I have been going to Dr. Chang for about 6 years now and I love the Staff and Dr! My name is Robert and I completely lost the vision in my left eye in April 2023. I went in very nervous, but all of the employees there were very reassuring that I had nothing to be afraid of. After the absolutely non-painful tests, the doctor told me his plan on the best way to regain my eyesight. After the first session, my eyesight started to return. Within days I could see shapes and numbers. With each visit, my eyesight got better and better. It is back to normal or even better than before. I'm not going to ever miss an appointment to make sure it never happens again. Eyesight- you can't see how much you need it till you don't have it. Thank you Eye Doctors Hawaii!

I’ve attempted to wear contacts my entire life but I could never get them in, but thanks to Linda I’m finally able to wear them! She was a great teacher and patient with me while I struggled to learn. If you struggle to wear contacts, ask for Linda! 🙂

Dr. Kenneth Chang performed laser cataract surgery on both eyes for me recently. He did a terrific job. The cataract in my right eye was a bad one but the surgery corrected the problem completely. The lens that were implanted corrected my longstanding myopia and Dr. Chang was able to use the laser to completely correct the astigmatism in my right eye and mostly in my left eye. After the surgery I had terrific vision and do not need to wear glasses except for reading. There was no pain or complications. Dr. Chang also has a very nice professional staff and attractive offices. To conclude, I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Chang for anyone who needs cataract surgery.

Updated: The doctor reached out to me personally to discuss my review as he cares about patients and their satisfaction with services. While my first interactions regarding billing, my appointment and finding the place we're not clear, he took the time to listen and address all my concerns without me feeling rushed or unheard. He heard my feedback and stated he would take that into account which is leaps beyond what most offices do on island. Overall, my appointment with the doctor was informative and he had good care. He is very knowledgeable. Know that since he is a specialist, billing will be as a medical appointment.

There are eye doctors, there are good cataract doctors but then there is Dr. CHANG! He literally saved my life ordering MRAs, MRIs, and getting me necessary treatment for a rare vasculitis! Incredible effort! My left eye was oblitherated by a knife, but then thanks to Dr Chang I was able to patch it back together and finally recover. You'll love the care and advice he'll give.

After an accident I developed double vision. I went to him because he is also a neurologist. While he couldn't be as aggressive in my treatment as I might like, he did confirm an earlier diagnosis by another doctor, and was extremely thorough in explaining my condition. This set me at ease. I attempted three times over a two week period (twice via the “contact us” on their website and once on their automated chat which allows booking of an appointment) with no response.UPDATE: I have been contacted by Dr. Chang who left a voicemail explaining the above issue was related to a password change. This apparently was not relayed to the company managing their computer systems/network, thus disengaging the online forms. The company that is in charge of this also contacted me and accepted responsibility for ther error.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chang for 4 years. Mainly routine eye examinations and other eye health matters. Dr. Chang and staff are the most professional medical organization I have had experience with.....please know I am a senior citizen so have had my share of medical attention.I had a recent accident involving a serious eye injury which required removal of an embedded foreign object. Obviously I had no reservation and entered as an emergency patient. Dr. Chang interrupted his schedule and saw me immediately. I owe my full recovery to his talent and true sense of caring.It is comforting to be a patient of Dr. Chang......highly, highly recommended!
